Great Shang Hai Restaurant in Yakima

Good food big proportions. One plate feeds 2-3 people. They treat us well also. Love this place!

It's one of the better Chinese restaurants and you can't best the price for the amount of food you get.

Worst experience I’ve ever had this lady decided to yell at me saying did you call in or not and I reply 3 times I walked in and ordered but she did not want to take that as an answer so when I asked for a refund she wouldn’t even do that worst experience I’ve had I will never go back to this place and neither will my family this experience was by far the worst and I hope they can get better service like seriously

Large Portions, Very Reasonably Priced, Good Food

Very friendly staff members, serviced my partner and I very swiftly and the place was clean and quiet. It was also Chinese New year's so the staff were in a bit of celebrating mood! Overall my experience here was great!

Lunch portions are amazing. Had sweet & sour pork, almond chicken & chow mein. Everything that was suppose to be crispy was amazingly so! The sauces were yummy and chowmein veggies were crispy! Left overs.. still crispy and yummy cold!!! My new favorite spot

The food was okay. Came out fast and hot. But the place was very quite. No music playing, just very quite, no privacy if you're talking. Pretty sure most of the food was frozen. Didn't taste fresh. The crab puffs tasted off. Like either they were going bad or made with something they are not usually made out of.....

Took me a couple of hours to finish was great.

Was not pleased with the taste or presentation of the almond chicken. Also the fried rice looked and tasted burnt.

It is good tasteing food and uber large portions. We are family of 6 and we buy 2 to 3 meals to feed our whole family.

Nice place to sit down an grab a bite. The server was kind and food didnt take very long to be brought out. Definitely a place to try out!

Holy Moly Yakima, If you want good Chinese food you have to come to Great Shanghai!🏯⛩️ Also known as the old Bamboo Terrace. 🏯⛩️ Huge portions!!!🍜🍜🍛🍛🍚🍚Food for days!!! Service is great! Fast, Efficient, Friendly. My family of six stuffed ourselves for $100. That's including drinks and appetizers. Plus the amount of leftovers you get to take home feeds you for the next day or two as well. We love the Orange Chicken.😍😍 Check it out Yakima!

Get it to go. The service is horrible. Really horrible. That woman must ge the owner or related to the owner. She is a nasty nasty person. Food is good for Yakima. If you are from the city, skip it. You wont be impressed.

Worst customer service I've ever had in my life. The waitress was extremely rude and rushed us the whole 30 mins we were in there. We got our food and she practically threw our check and To go boxes at us with our food. She didnt want us to eat in the restaurant. Not to mention it was the worst almond chicken I've ever had l. It's a tradition for a friend and I to meet here, and I've never been disappointed by the food! The almond chicken and pork fried rice are especially great!

We went for lunch. Atmosphere was dry, very quiet inside. Nobody was talking. Ordered from the lunch menu. Food had a lot of flavor and we did have leftovers. The service is quick, but also quick to get you out. 4 stars for the food but I would say 1 star for the service, if I could give just a review on service.

Quality can be hit or miss. Call in orders are prepared quickly, and the ladies are quick to get you on your way with your food.

Huge fan of the General Tso chicken

Because of the Virus i haven't been able to dine in, but every time i call in the food is done on or before the time they tell me, and it has never lacked in flavor ir consistency. My only regret is never stopping by to try it out earlier. So far my favorite dish is the General Tso's chicken.

Very good..the food real good nice and hot the waitress on her toes clean tables fast I noticed that and smiling the carpet clean highly recommend the food brought to you fast you did not wait a long time ...loved it

I will never give this place my money again. EVERY time, I try to call in an order, the lady who answers the phone, can barely speak English, and I have to say excuse me? Quite a few times, and then she yells at me, in a very hostile tone. I just a few minutes ago, tried to place an order, and told her exactly what I wanted, and she kept asking me what kind of meat I wanted. I told her 10 times, two boxes of general tso chicken, and one box of chow mein. But she kept asking me what kind of meat I wanted. When I said general tso again, she laughed at me, and then SCREAMED "WHAT KINDA MEAT YOU WANT!!??" They need to get someone who speaks good English. I told her nevermind I'll take my business elsewhere.

The Almond Chicken was hard and there wasNo gravy like there should have been

The food is amazing. The only thing that keeps me coming back! The customer service is the worst I've ever had, so extremely rude. I ordered a large order (over 60$) and they didn't even start it until arrival. So I got to sit in there for over a half hour waiting for my food that I had called in about a half hour prior to arriving! Don't even bother calling in. If they didn't have such amazing food I would not go back.

Its hard to find good flavor when it comes to Chinese food, this place has had no problem finding said flavor. Last time we went the hot tea had changed, i wasn't fan. Otherwise, its bomb!

My brother ate lunch at this place on 01/16/2020. When he arrived he was given a table. He ordered his food and a drink. They brought his order to him and he proceeded to eat his food when the lady that originally sat him there said you need to move to another table this ones reserved. WTF. Who does that!That's rude. Sheer discrimination! My brother was so upset. If I was there I would have let them have it! I would never recommend this place to anyone. I give 0 stars for the worst service!

I feel horrible giving this place a bad review because they were extremely nice, but the menu items were even worse than most asian/Chinese buffets. We have milk allergies and kept asking if an appetizer combo had milk. I don't believe they understood because, after we were told that it didn't, a third of it arrived with cream cheese. Then the rest of our food arrived and everything had more greasy breading than anything else.

Unfriendly service, greasy noodles, almond chicken shouldn't taste like bland gravy on mushy on bottom breaded chicken.And seriously having your 9 month old daughter crying is not great for the customers.

It's okay food. Wouldn't say great but better than a lot of places around town. Their egg flower soup is rather bland though.

My favorite place for Chinese cuisine. The portions are generous and the prices are good. I bring my family here often. The staff great you and treat you like one of their own family members. Very great place.

Good food. Seriously good food. However my family and I love coming here, and an older waitress here purposefully treats my mom badly in front of me. She said, to me "Make sure she's not mean" and ignored my mom's preferences and questions. I always top here, but now, if I don't think someone will get treated fairly, this isn't an establishment worth attending.

Never been, thought we would give it try, since our regular place closed done.They were SO HORRIBLE!! The waitress was a total b@!*h to my husband and I. I wanted hot tea and a cup of ice, she walks in the back and I can hear her saying all kinds of colorful stuff about the lady who ordered that instead of iced tea. Unless its fresh brewed iced tea that sits in a plastic container for lord knows how long, takes awful. We left after she argued about putting sugar in the hot tea. She said you cant because it gets sticky. WHAT? I asked if they wash it after every use, it shouldn't be a problem. Never again!!
